Today's most popular shingle: Timberline®

In 1967, RUBEROID engineer, Phil Bottoli laminated two strip shingles together to create a shingle of extraordinary strength and aesthetics. The Timberline® Shingle became North America’s best-selling shingle. The same year, RUBEROID merged with GAF and adopted the GAF name.

Energy From Every Roof™

GAF solar efforts grew into GAF Energy. GAF Energy works in partnership with GAF, offering affordable integrated rooftop solar options to residential and commercial customers.

Mark Rutherford is one of the founders and current co-owner of Atlanta Roofing Specialists, where he's responsible for production and commercial sales. The company provides new roofs and repair services for residential and commercial buildings in the Atlanta area, and has been a part of the community for 30 years.
Michigan City has been home to a GAF manufacturing facility since 2000, supporting the community's residents through not only the nearly 200 jobs it provides but also countless hours of volunteering. The job creation and increased capacity for serving customers with the GAF Michigan City distribution center expansion is testimony to the company's dedication to building resilient communities.
With an overall industry labor shortage, roofers are in high demand. Those contemplating a career in roofing should consider the training provided by the GAF Roofing Academy, where students can learn the skills and industrial knowledge they need to get started in the industry.
